About Silent Vinyls
A community platform where music listeners write reviews, rate albums, and discover what people actually think — not what the industry wants them to think.
The best music writing comes from people who listen obsessively, not people who write professionally. We built this platform for them.
Our approach
Silent Vinyls is a place for listeners, not critics. Every review on this platform was written by a real user — someone who chose to put their thoughts into words because the music meant something to them.
We built the platform, maintain the database, and keep things running — but the content belongs to the community. Ratings, reviews, and recommendations all come from people who simply love music and want to talk about it.
There are no paid placements, no label partnerships, and no editorial agenda. An album earns its rating from the people who listened to it — nothing more, nothing less.

How it works
Community-driven ratings
Every score on Silent Vinyls reflects what listeners actually think. Ratings are aggregated from user reviews — no editorial override, no algorithmic weighting. The number you see is the honest average of everyone who took the time to write about it.
Write your own review
Create a free account and start reviewing. Whether it's a paragraph or a full breakdown, every perspective adds to the picture. You don't need credentials — you just need to have listened.
A growing catalogue
Our album database spans genres and decades and is constantly expanding. If something you want to review isn't listed yet, you can request it and our team will add it to the catalogue.
